How to specify which needs you would like your donation to support when donating online.

If you are choosing to donate through our website, you will be sent to an external PayPal website.  Here, you will follow the prompts:

1) The title of the page should read "Upendo Village, NFP"

    Here, you are prompted to enter your donation amount and click "Update Total"

2) After you update your total, on the bottom right, you will be prompted to log into PayPal.  On the bottom left,

    you will have the option to use a credit card or bank account.

If you choose to pay with PayPal:

You will be brought to a page still entitled "Upendo Village, NFP" and a personalized message "(Your Name), please review your donation. Here is where you can add specific needs that you would like your donation to meet. On this page, under "Purpose" and in the "Total" line, there is a blue plus sign with the words "Special Instructions" next to it.  If you click on the plus sign, or text, a box will appear.  In this box, you can type your intentions for your donation, such as, "Micro-business loan" or "general operations".  After you have added your "special instructions" you can proceed to verify the payment method, mailing address and contact information, then press the yellow "Donate (Amount) Now" button.  This should complete your donation. If your address is included in the information you provide, you will receive a donation confirmation in the mail.

If you choose to pay with a Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover):

You will be brought to a page still entitled "Upendo Village, NFP" with a blue box that indicates how much you decided to donate on the initial page.  Enter your credit card information and billing information as indicated under the words "Pay with Credit Card or Log In"

After entering your information and follow your prompt to donate, you will be brought to a page still entitled "Upendo Village, NFP" and a personalized message "(Your Name), please review your donation. Here is where you can add specific needs that you would like your donation to meet.
